John Curran

Honorary President

John is a founder member of Fortwilliam Musical Society. His brother Bill founded the company in September 1977.

John also sang with Opera Northern Ireland and the Law Society’s Pro Bono Choir.

Hilary McKee


Hilary joined Fortwilliam in 2013. She led the organisation of our successful fund-raising event Fortwilliam Does Strictly in June 2015.

She was our secretary for the 2015-16 season and became chair at the start of the 2016-17 season.

Seamus Hughes


Seamus has been involved in our shows and concerts ever since making his Fortwilliam debut in My Fair Lady in 2008.

His expertise on the guitar has been a valuable addition to our concerts. He is also very handy with power tools when it comes to building and dismantling sets.

Charlene Bradley

Secretary & Concert Co-ordinator

Charlene joined Fortwilliam in 2015 and took part in our November concerts in the Courtyard Theatre, Ballyearl and our 2016 show, The Wizard of Oz. She joined the committee later in 2016 and took on the roles of Secretary and Concert Co-ordinator.

Charlene currently works for the NHSCT as a Community Care Manager.

John joined us in 2013 and has been our treasurer since 2014.

An accomplished musician, he gigged alongside Seamus Hughes for many years in pubs and clubs across Northern Ireland.

Gemma Duffy

FMS Youth Secretary

Gemma joined Fortwilliam in 2015 and took part in our November concerts in the Courtyard Theatre, Ballyearl and our 2016 show, The Wizard of Oz.

She was a member of Fringe Benefits Theatre Group for six years and has a Diploma in Musical Theatre.

Ella Campbell

Friends of Fortwilliam Co-ordinator

Ella has taken part in all of our shows and concerts since joining us in 2014. She landed her dream role when she played a tree in our 2016 show, The Wizard of Oz.

Emma McMullan

Emma joined Fortwilliam in 2016 and took part in the November concert in The Courtyard Theatre, Ballyearl. 

She has been teaching in Strandtown Primary School since returning to Northern Ireland in 2014 after working in the Greater Manchester for nine years.

Drew Reid

Drew has performed in countless shows and concerts with most of the local musical societies over the past couple of decades.

He has played many lead roles with us, including Uncle Henry / Emerald City Guard in The Wizard of Oz, the Beadle in Sweeney Todd, Horace Vandergelder in Hello, Dolly!, and Alfred P Doolittle in My Fair Lady.
